The location of the cottage was great, allowing easy access to Dartmoor and nearby pubs for meals. the cottage itself was comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen. the hosts were friendly and flexible, and even provided milk on arrival. the presence of a warm pool and a shooting centre added to the overall experience.

Parking could have been more convenient, as it sometimes required parking at the courtyard level.

We loved the location of the cottage, nestled in the peaceful countryside. It was the perfect base to explore both the stunning moors and the vibrant city of Exeter. The cottage itself was well-equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The added bonus of a swimming pool was a great way to relax and cool off after a day of exploring. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The complementary snacks were a lovely touch and made us feel truly cared for during our stay.

The bed set-up in the cottage. The ladder to climb up to the bed felt a bit unsafe and exposed.

My partner and I recently stayed at a lovely little holiday cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Despite being a more mobile couple, we found the access to be a bit challenging for older guests, with a steep narrow path and slippery leaves. The steps up to the door were a bit uneven, but thankfully there was a sturdy handrail. Inside, the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with high-quality fittings, and the 4 poster bed was very comfortable. The cottage was also spotlessly clean. We appreciated the selection of books and leaflets about the area. The location itself, nestled within a complex of restored farm buildings, was wonderfully peaceful. We also had a dedicated parking space, good WiFi, and a TV with freeview channels. it was a good little holiday hideaway for two.

One minor downside was the replacement of the comfortable armchairs shown in the website photos with a not-so-comfortable sofa bed. The shower also proved a bit tricky to get the right temperature, but the presence of a fantastic bath made up for it.

We had an amazing stay at these charming cottages. the location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with plenty of attractions nearby. We especially loved the beautiful gardens and the heated outdoor swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. the cottage itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with a fully fitted kitchen and even a comfy four-poster bed. the staff were friendly and provided a thoughtful welcome pack with essentials. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

The parking situation could have been more convenient.

My partner and I recently stayed at this charming countryside retreat and had a fabulous time. The cottage we stayed in was a hidden gem, tucked away in the moors, providing us with the peace and quiet we were craving. The cottage itself was well-equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy bedding. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail, with little extras like tea towels and washing up liquid provided. Despite a couple of minor inconveniences like parking being a bit far and the narrow roads, there was little not to like about our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and the communication with the property owner was excellent. The welcome pack upon arrival was a thoughtful touch, and the property was clean and comfortable. We even made a furry friend in Chloe, who eagerly awaited treats at our door! I would highly recommend this fantastic place for a peaceful countryside getaway.

The breathtaking scenery surrounding the cottages at Budleigh Farm truly made my stay unforgettable. I was able to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life while enjoying the tranquility of the peaceful countryside. The well-kept swimming pool was an absolute delight, providing a refreshing dip on sunny days. The hosts were not only friendly, but also committed to eco-friendly practices, which I greatly appreciated. The cottages themselves were fully equipped with everything I needed, from kitchen utensils to free snacks. Plus, the added bonus of having friendly dogs, like Susie and Chloe, around made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend Budleigh Farm Cottages for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway or wanting to explore the local area.

Our stay at Budleigh Farm Cottages was exceptional! The cottage we stayed in, the granary cottage, was absolutely beautiful. The bed was unique, with steps leading up to it like a bunkbed for grownups, and it had a skylight overlooking the fields. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was convenient, just a short walk into the town of Moretonhampstead and its amenities. The host was friendly and provided helpful local advice.

We had a fantastic stay at Budleigh Farm Cottages and highly recommend it. The setting was beautiful and the surrounding countryside was stunning. The cottage we stayed in was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was especially impressive, with all the pots, pans, and cutlery we could possibly need for cooking our own meals. The heated pool was a great addition and we enjoyed taking a refreshing swim during our stay. Additionally, the pint of milk and welcome snacks left for us in the room were a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long journey. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. The green energy from solar panels was also a plus. Despite a few minor drawbacks like intermittent WiFi and noise from a nearby shooting range, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Budleigh Farm Cottages and would definitely stay there again. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxed and enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings.

We got great value for our money at Budleigh Farm Cottages. The room was beautiful, clean, and cozy, with a fantastic log burner for evenings by the fire. The location was perfect, with stunning views just a short walk away, and a lovely village within walking distance. The staff at the cottages were incredibly kind and helpful, and we absolutely adored the company of their friendly dog Chloe. We can't wait to return!

The breakfast selection could benefit from a wider variety of options.
